Grand Cayman Restaurants & Chefs
Whether it’s out on the town or with your own private chef, Grand Cayman has plenty of culinary offerings.
Plus, villa guests receive a 10% discount at our preferred dining partners simply by presenting their Silver Thatch Guest Card.  Details provided upon check-in.

Sipping a mango mojito on the dock at the Lighthouse, or savoring a bite of fresh ceviche at Tukka’s in East End and watching the moon rise is what dining on Cayman’s “quieter side” is all about. The food is excellent, scenery stunning, and the island vibes are relaxed.

Fine Dining
Fine dining restaurants include Tukka, Rum Point Restaurant, The Lighthouse, and the Kaibo-Upstairs.

Casual Fare
More casual style restaurants include The Czech Inn GrillEagle Ray’s Bar & Grill, Over the Edge, Rum Point Wreck Bar & Grill, Mimi’s Dock Bar at Morritt’s, Taco Cantina, The Italian Kitchen, and Kaibo-Downstairs.

The list of fine dining restaurants in this district is as long as Seven Mile Beach, but we do have a few favorites.

Calypso Grill is a bit of a drive, but absolutely worth it. Ragazzi’s is another favorite.

For sushi, we recommend Yoshi Sushi, and if you’re strolling through Camana Bay try Abacus or The Waterfrontthey never disappoint! For a brand new dining experience visit Agua also in Camana Bay.

Edoardo’s is the best pizza take-out if you have hungry mouths to feed and don’t feel like dining out.

Casual Restaurants

  • The Sunshine Grill – Sunshine Suites Resort across the street from the Westin Hotel. You will love the fish tacos!
  • Sunset House – A dive resort one mile south of Georgetown. Sit inside at Sea Harvest or outdoors at My Bar, Cayman’s famous thatched-roof bar.
  • Chicken Chicken! – Hands down the best rotisserie chicken on the entire island! Eat in or take out. Jicama coleslaw, red beans and rice, roasted or mashed potatoes and gravy, pesto pasta salad. Located in the West Shore Shopping Center.

Grand Cayman, known as the Culinary Capital of the Caribbean, is home to many excellent chefs.

We have compiled an ever growing list of chefs, cooks, and caterers who will prepare a gourmet menu for you and your family for those nights when you feel like indulging without leaving the comforts of your villa.

Hiring chefs for a night is quite popular among our villa guests. However, please don’t hesitate.  We recommend contacting chefs at least 60 days in advance, especially during the holiday season. You may always cancel if you anticipate your plans changing closer to your arrival date.

To streamline the process, we’ve created two email accounts that reaches out to all of our preferred chefs and cooks.  For a gourmet dinner experience, email chef@grandcaymanvillas.net for pricing and availability.  For family-style island dinners, email cook@grandcaymanvillas.net for pricing and availability.
