At long last, we are excited to announce the grand re-opening of the Rum Point Club.
A long-time favorite of locals and tourists alike, the Rum Point Club has been closed since the island reopened its borders in late 2021. With all the renovations and upgrades finally complete, we can now say it was all well worth the wait!
A Fresh Start
Within strolling distance of the villas and condos in Cayman Kai, the new Rum Point Club is open to the public providing visitors with a soft sandy beach with dozens of sun loungers, a walk-up beach bar, plus a superb casual and fine dining restaurant.
Watersports, a gift shop, beach volleyball, and large changing facilities with outdoor showers round out the recent upgrades.
The new restaurant has been completely redesigned, adding shaded beachfront dining, private cabanas, and a new name, Solis at Rum Point.
Open Tuesday – Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (9:00 p.m. Thursday – Saturday), Solis at Rum Point serves a culinary journey that’s nothing short of spectacular. Solis’ new manager previously worked at the Kimpton Seafire on Seven Mile Beach. Lunch and dinner menus have been revamped offering an array of delectable dishes that showcase the island’s fresh ingredients and dazzling flavors.
While the restaurant may be closed on Mondays, the beach is open to the public every day!
Finishing touches are being made on an enormous open-air bar that will once again serve Cayman Mudslides, the island’s iconic drink, and other tasty libations.
A new retail shop managed by Red Sail Sports has also reopened selling island fashions and beachy essentials.
Unparalleled Natural Beauty
Grand Cayman is renowned for its natural beauty, and Rum Point certainly doesn’t disappoint. The sparkling waters are an idyllic playground for snorkelers exploring the marine life on the corals as well as under the dock.
For adventure enthusiasts, watersport rentals by Red Sail Sports will reopen this fall offering paddleboards, kayaks, and jet ski rentals. Group excursions to the Stingray City depart from the Rum Point Club’s dock. For those seeking a more laid-back adventure, a sunset cocktail cruise is a wonderful precursor to a five-star dinner at Solis.
Where to Stay
The reopening of this Caribbean oasis has breathed new life into an already enchanting destination. Guests staying at the Rum Point Club Resort or the Island Houses of Cayman Kai are less than a 200-yard walk from the new Rum Point Club. Private villas in the Cayman Kai and Rum Point area are no more than a 5-minute drive away.
