Beach Notes
The beach behind the Kaibo Condo complex is pure barefoot sand. Facing the sound, the waters here are clear and calm. There are no reefs here to snorkel, nor is the sea bottom sandy. All beaches are technically public and there are some nicer beaches nearby open for your use.
For barefoot swimming and snorkeling, we recommend walking up the street to Gardens of the Kai, or Rum Point Beach (a 2-minute drive, 10-minute walk away). Not only are the beaches there swimmable, but Rum Point Beach also offers a bar and grill, lounge chaises, and a variety of water sports activities to keep you active.

All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high water mark.
The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.
Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed
Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally.
Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival.
Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation.

Loved Kailua!
Absolutely loved this place. A beautiful view and very peaceful. A great restaurant 2 doors down. We recommend highly!
Everything You Could Need
We really enjoyed our stay. The condo has everything you could need for home away from home. We stayed with our two teenage daughters and we were so comfortable. The view is fantastic and sitting out on the screened porch for breakfast, lunch or dinner so lovely! We were able to easily walk over to Kaibo Marina for lunch and dinner and even caught the water taxi to George Town one day. We also were able to get on our dive boat and a snorkeling trip to sting Ray city from Kaibo Marina. Easy to run on the flat quiet streets around the condo on Rum Point. Overall very happy with our stay. Condo is newly updated and they did not miss any details!
Top Notch!
The Kailua condo was STUNNING. The renovations to this condo were all top notch. Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed the condo with the open kitchen and HUGE balcony. The balcony was perfect for eating as well as watching sunrise and sunset and reading a book on the couch. The condos are quiet and you don’t hear your neighbors. The beach and pool had plenty of seating available. Our kids loved being able to walk to Kaibo for food and games. Starfish come right up to the shoreline here. Each day brought different starfish. The only thing I would change is the primary bedroom mattress. It’s low and very soft.
Special Kailua
Just leaving from a wonderful holiday in Cayman. The people are so friendly. Kailua was a wonderful property, fully stocked with everything we needed. Guest Services staff were helpful with recommendations and providing baby gear for us. Restaurant in the area - Rum Point Club, The Resort, Kaibo were all exceptional. Took a charter to the stingrays and highly recommend that!
Kailua Peaceful
This is our second visit to Kailua and we will be back a third time. Great location. Nice beach. Swimming and kayaking are wonderful. Just a great area away from crowds. The beds are firm and fantastic. Place still looks new!!!
Thanksgiving in Caymans
We spent a wonderful Thanksgiving in the Caymans staying at Kailua. Really pretty condo, safe and quiet. Walk to a few restaurants. Drove to east end restaurants and activities. Would recommend to others!
Great Stay at Kailua
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kailua. Short walks to Rum Point, Kaibo restaurants. Our special treat was the walk to Starfish Point. We rented paddle boards and highly recommend those. Already looking forward to our next stay!
Had Everything We Needed

Beautiful place and beautiful view! So many starfish right at your back door! Snorkeling was our favorite. Walked to picnic at Starfish Pointe which is right around the corner. Love the coziness and privacy!

Our family of four had a great time at the Kailua villa hosted and managed by Grand Cayman Villa. The Villa was exactly described and more. Every morning we woke up to the beautiful ocean view that we just couldn’t get enough of. The only thing is that the Villa is a little farther away from restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. However, we learned and got groceries and stocked up the refrigerator in town. We were able to fully enjoy what the Villa had to offer. The AC was great, and the outdoor enclosed screened in patio was great for relaxing and starring at the boats, catamaran, jet skis, & paddle boards. If we were in Grand Cayman Island, we would definitely recommend staying here again. We contacted Penny, the management company, about a couple of questions. They were very responsive and helped us right away. This type of service is what sets the Villa apart. If you are looking for a place to stay, please click the Reserve button because you will be happy you did!

Loved this place, even at the end of June the weather was great, not to hot. Easy access to so much on the water due to the dock right next door. Easy access to a grocery store, liquor store. Access to paddle boards and kayak, which were dropped off right by the water. And the place was just like the pictures, would love to live here full time! It had great amenities, wonderful towels/robes, huge TV if you needed to kill some time inside and the kitchen was outfitted so a chef can cook! My wife loved the balcony that was screened in...no bugs and you could sit out and drink a nice glass of wine! The entire experience gets 5 stars!!!
Clean, Updated Condo
The condo itself was amazing!! Lots of high-end upgrades to the bathrooms, kitchen and furniture and well stocked kitchen. Beautifully decorated and supremely clean!! Amazing!! The list of recommendations were extremely helpful! Very peaceful surroundings, nice to visit the beach and be the only ones there! Was a little strange we didn’t see many people around though. Maybe it was the off season in mid-Jine? But over all the condo was amazing!
Loved and Will Come Back
We loved the Kailua condo. Perfect location for a quiet, relaxing vaca. Easy walk next to Kaibo for pizza or a drink. The condo has been updated with great finishings and well stocked. Bathrooms are well kept and the walk in showers perfect for after a day in the water. We will totally rent Kailua again!

It’s a quiet area with a restaurant, bar, coffee shop and small marina nearby. It’s a walkable area to these places and Starfish Point. We can’t wait to return and will refer this place to others.

Impossible to state how wonderful our stay at KAILUA was. Prettier, cleaner, better stocked and better located for seeing the true sites of Grand Cayman than we expected. Frequent returns are on our bucket list.

Enjoyed our week at Kailua
We have used Grand Cayman Villas and Condos now for three trips to the Cayman Islands. Two times near Kaibo/Rum Point area and another time on 7 Mile Beach. We are very happy with this management company and would highly recommend them. Kailua is a very nice, beautifully updated upper villa in a four-villa structure. It is wonderfully laid out and decorated from an interior design perspective. It has a lovely new kitchen, updated baths, comfortable living room (love the sofa) and functional and fun outdoor patio space for eating and lounging. It was very nice to have the large, stackable washer and dryer to keep towels and beach clothes neat and tidy all week. There are four villas to a building so you will hear your neighbors if they are talking outside or playing music they like on their patio. Upon arrival it was a little hard to find so note that it is an upper in a grouping of several buildings. We love the Caymans as everyone is so nice and the island feels wonderfully safe. We can\'t wait to book again in the future with Grand Cayman Villas and Condos. Thank you Kailua owners for a wonderful week!

Beautiful, Clean, Safe
Lets start by saying, the photos on here does the place no justice. It was extremely beautiful, clean , neat, organized and equipped with everything you think you might need. The beach front property was a plus. Location wise it’s a decent drive from the town perfect getaway if you wanna stay low key and relax. I felt safe staying here and the host stayed in communication every step of the way. I have nothing bad to say about this villa very beautiful place. We enjoyed our Stay.

Exceeded Expectations
We stayed at Wee Kai for 6 nights. This place is absolutely amazing! Exceeded all our expectations. The property manager Penni was very kind and helpful. We booked a charter through Silver Thatch and that trip was unforgettable. I would highly recommend booking a charter and highly recommended staying at Wee Kai. We can’t wait to go back! Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
Excellent in every way
My wife and our nine month-old son stayed at Wee Kai for a week in early April \'22 and were thoroughly impressed with everything. The actual unit was well appointed and supplied, and we had more than enough space (even with toys all over the floor). We spent most of our time on the screened-in porch, which has a full dining area, couches, and chairs, and clear views of the water. Both the pool and the water were steps from the unit, and the Kaibo restaurant/bar was a few hundred yards down the beach, and had excellent food and drinks. The community itself was exactly what we were looking for--quiet and definitely separated from the crowds, but we didn\'t feel cut off from everything. The Rum Point restaurant/bar/establishment remains closed, but there are a number of other restaurants and a small grocery store within a 15-20 minute drive (you definitely need a car). The beach isn\'t ideal for swimming, but a quick walk over to Starfish Point and Rum Point offered great swimming and snorkeling. The team at GC Villas and Silver Thatch were incredibly helpful and responsive to all of our needs. We really couldn\'t have been happier with our stay, experience, and the villa itself, and I\'d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a more low-key place by the water.

We had incredible stress & difficulty reserving through VRBO (our reservations were cancelled 2 days before our arrival) so we had to go straight to the renting agency Grand Cayman Villas and Condos--and they were great. Wee Kai: It is wonderful--newly renovated and has everything you could want, and then more. Making reservations with Grand Cayman Villas was easy and the people were so nice (they were understanding about our issues with VRBO reservations). The property manager met us when we arrived and explained everything we needed to know about the unit. Penni is simply delightful and had great recommendations about things to do/places to go. The unit is organized and decorated beautifully. Every room is inviting and cozy (we had coffee on the fabulous deck each morning). We cooked in the well-appointed kitchen and had everything we needed (my husband especially loved the espresso machine). Location-- perfect. 2nd story deck looks out at the amazing views of the water. Just far enough from the Marina next door to be quiet, but close enough to walk for a coffee, pizza on the beach, or nice meal upstairs (a bit too pricey at the upstairs restaurant, though, for what you get). We visited all parts of the island, and definitely loved coming home to the quiet area that is Kaibo. The beach is great for snorkeling and kayaking (maybe not great for kids to swim too far out due to rocks and seagrass). We saw gorgeous starfish while walking in the water up to our waists. This part of the island did not get sargassum seaweed due to its location. Rum Point restaurant and hang out area up the road is closed currently, but the public beach there is still open and is also a great place to snorkel (we saw sea turtles there). You should also walk down the street to Starfish Point—sunsets there are amazing. Silver Thatch Guest Services gave us great support. Highly recommended.

Everything was wonderful and exactly as advertised. Rum Point was quiet and relaxing, but with plenty to do. The villa was excellent - modern, well equipped and sparkling. The screened in porch was a life saver with an infant along with us for the trip. We have zero complaints. The Grand Cayman Villas & Condos Team, Penni and Silver Thatch were all immensely helpful and very friendly. We would HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Wee Kai for anyone looking for some R&R away from the crowds.

This two bedroom condo is magnificent. It has been fully renovated so everything is immaculate. The kitchen is perfectly equipped with beautiful china, glasses and cutlery. State of the art cooking utensils! The outdoor space is very comfortable with a spectacular view.

Booking Rules
- 4 nights minimum stay required.
- 5 nights minimum required over Thanksgiving week and Easter week.
- 7 nights minimum and full occupancy required over Christmas and New Year's week.
- Christmas & New Year's dates are split into two rental periods. Please inquire with your travel dates prior to booking.
- Shorter stays may be available but subject to a higher cleaning fee. Please inquire before booking.
- Must be 25 years or older to book and must occupy the property during the entire stay.
Villa Cleaning & Sanitation
All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products.
Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival.

Getting Around
A rental car is highly recommended. Taxi cabs are unreliable and expensive outside of town and Seven Mile Beach. Plus, there is no Uber or Lyft on the island.
For rental cars, we recommend Budget Cayman, Avis, or Marshalls.
