Grand Cayman Villas

Meet Our Team

Jim Leavitt
Operations and Villa Owner Relations

Jim first visited Grand Cayman on a dive trip in 1979.  Ultimately building 3 homes on the island, Jim began (part-time) renting his homes as vacation rentals in 2000 and enjoyed the experience so much that he left his career as a bond trader on wall street to open Grand Cayman Villas & Condos (GCVC) in 2004.

Jim spends the bulk of his time developing and maintaining our relationships with our owner-parters and also manages the business model and growth strategy piece of our business.  Jim is on island monthly to meet new owners, connect with current owners and maintain our company connection with our Cayman partners.

Jim earned his B.A. in Economics from Virginia Military Institute (VMI) and a JD/MBA from the University of Virginia

Scott Naurath
Reservations & Sales

Scott has been visiting Grand Cayman since he was a young boy in 1972.  During his 20+ year career as a bond salesman on wall street, he and his wife brought their children at least every other year to Grand Cayman for vacation. He has visited many other islands as well and can compare them for our guests versus Grand Cayman.

Scott joined our team in 2015 as head of reservations and sales and we are grateful he has not looked back.  Our guests are fortunate to have such a knowledgeable person to query about a particular villa or  area on Grand Cayman or compare this island to others they may be considering.  Scott now visits monthly on average to maintain his connection with the island and to stay current.

Scott earned his B.A. from Christopher Newport College

Didi Templeman

Didi Templeman was Jim’s first employee in 2008. Didi’s expertise in bookkeeping and accounting (with an insurance company) allowed GCVC to adopt “trust-accounting” practices and keep owner’s funds segregated.  Didi’s responsibilities have expanded to include taxes, payroll, owner payments, owner statements and generating our financial statements each year. Didi is available to speak with our guests and owners regarding any accounting issues, refundable damage deposits, trip cancellation insurance claims, etc.

Didi has also been to Grand Cayman multiple times with her family and enjoys speaking with our guests as they plan their trips.  She provides a unique perspective to our guests.

Didi is a graduate of Mary Baldwin College and majored in mathematics.

Dan Asencios
eCommerce and Technology

Dan joined GCVC in 2017 as our head of technology and eCommerce. He came to us most recently from a very large law firm where he maintained their websites, multiple partner blogs & intranet, all digital marketing/SEO and did all of their photography and edited the photos for web use.  We needed to bring in-house our eCommerce and develop local expertise as we grew and expanded the number of websites as well as the services the company would offer it’s guests and owners.

Our owners will rarely intersect with Dan other than to know that it is his efforts with editing, copyright and organization that will present their property in the best light online. Dan also is in charge of SEO, PPC, Blog and Social Media efforts for the company.

Dan is a graduate of Virginia Tech majoring in Political Science and Economics.

Brianna Wilson

Web Design & Digital Marketing Associate

Bri joined GCVC in July of 2018 directly from James Madison University where she majored in Media Arts and Design.  Bri was hired to bring in-house our web design needs as well as focus on our digital marketing, SEO and SEM, PPC and Google Analytics efforts.  She spent her summer internship with Robertson Marketing learning project work which included websites, video editing and presentation services.

Bri has enthusiasm, formal education and the drive we need to fill out our technology team. She also has current best-practices knowledge and will be taking online courses to increase her knowledge in the SEO and Digital-Marketing arenas.

Ran Johnson
Reservations & Marketing Administration

Ran joined GCVC in 2017 after graduating from Christopher Newport University in Virginia with a degree in theatre and acting.  Ran coordinates the guest-booking process from the original reservation all the way to arrival on island. Ran also manages the kayak and paddle board rental program for Silver Thatch Guest Services, the private snorkel trips for Silver Thatch Charters and also helps out with market research, admin, occupancy tax and marketing report preparation.

As GCVC grows in # of properties and services provided to our guests, the administrative burden only increases and our guests are fortunate to have Ran to lean on for sending reminders, answering villa questions and coordinating their arrival procedures, requesting early check-in/late check-out, etc.
