1. Once
"booked" (paid 50% of Rental Charge );
should you cancel (by e-mail/fax) prior to paying the full
rental amount, |
25% of the Rental Charge will be returned as soon as
possible. Should GCVC be able to replace the reservation, |
the other 25% will be forwarded immediately, less any
re-booking costs and/or credit card fees incurred. |
Should GCVC not be able to replace the reservation, the
remaining 25% is forfeited. |
2. Once full payment is due OR you are
"paid-in-full" (paid 100% of Rental Charge);
should you cancel; every effort will |
be made to re-lease the property. We will contact other
rental agencies, travel agents, etc. in an effort to
re-lease the |
property. Should we be able to replace the reservation, you
will receive 100% of all funds paid, less any re- |
booking charges incurred. Should we not be able to re-lease
the property, all funds will be forfeited; however, 50% of |
those amounts will be credited on a non-assignable basis
towards a subsequent available stay. This credit will be |
exercisable for 13 months. We think this feature is both
unique and very fair, as rebooking within 60 days is very
difficult |
(air fares, etc.), and most people have already made their
vacation plans well in advance. You might consider travel |
cancellation insurance; please click this insurance link for

If you have any questions, I would prefer E-mail (jim@grandcaymanvillas.net), |

as I will have a record of it. |

Guest is responsible for all damage caused by negligent
conduct or wanton disregard for property while occupying
villa. |
Normal "wear and tear" and small consumable items are
understood to be responsibility of villa owner. Guest |
should report any damage (to manager and GCVC) discovered
upon taking occupancy so that it may be repaired ASAP |

Grand Cayman Villas & Condos, LLC (GCVC) operates strictly
as a marketing/booking agency for rental villas located on |
Grand Cayman. GCVC neither owns nor manages individual
properties. It is exclusively a booking agency with no
liability |
for any physical or financial injury sustained by guests
during their stay. In the (very unlikely) event that a
contracted villa |
is either unavailable or uninhabitable for a guests’ stay
(for any reason); GCVC will make extraordinary efforts to |
obtain similar (or better) accommodations for the guests
(subject to their approval). GCVC maintains strong |
relationships with many on-island managers, owners, villa
rental agencies and the Cayman Islands Tourism Department. |
However, should acceptable accommodations not be found, the
limit of financial liability for GCVC will be a prompt,
full |
refund of all monies paid or an alternate stay at the villa
(at the choice of the guest). Evacuation due to hurricanes
will |
result in prorated refunds up to the total amount of the
rental charge, prorated by # nights stayed. |

Rental Policies/Safety Warnings: |
| |
CHECK-IN: |
Anytime after 3 PM. If you arrive a
little early, please just drop off bags and let |
| |
maids finish cleaning PLEASE (Don't open suitcases,
unpack, etc). |
| |
CHECK-OUT: |
10 AM (Maids/Pool service must be able
to clean properly). Our maid may arrive |
| |
slightly earlier to begin laundry (next bus is too late).
If you can start a load of towels |
| |
or bed linens, we will appreciate it very much. Laundry is
the big job. |
| |
Contact manager directly to request a late check out |
| |
1. Unless stated otherwise, full payment of Rental
Charge is due no later than 60 days prior to occupancy. |
| |
2. A strict maximum # of people are allowed (by law) to
occupy the main residence on an overnight basis. |
| |
Exceeding this limit risks eviction with no refund. |
MAX GUESTS |
14 |
| |
3. No pets are allowed. |
| |
4. Please do not smoke
inside the
Villa. The terraces are used by
our friends who smoke. Please don’t |
| |
allow your guests who smoke to litter the shoreline
or landscaping with cigarette butts. |
| |
5. Swimming pools are patently
dangerous. Please supervise your
children/non-swimming guests. |
| |
The owners of your villa and
GCV&C WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
| |
ANY ACCIDENTS/INJURY
(INVOLVING THE POOL OR OTHERWISE). |
| |
6. No outdoor fires are allowed.
The Cayman Islands are very strict on this. |
| |
7. Please take care using the (Charcoal or propane)
barbeque grill. Ensure the cover is closed. |
| |
8. No Fishing equipment or scuba tanks/weight in the
house. |
| |
9. Please conserve fresh water.
All fresh water on the island is filtered rainwater. Please
be mindful of |
| |
laundry, shower & flushing uses. Additionally, put
nothing (inorganic) in the toilet other than tissue paper, |
| |
as the house uses a septic tank. The same goes for
the kitchen sink/disposal. Please try to use the |
| |
disposal sparingly. Throw food scraps in garbage can
if you can remember--it is hard.. |
| |
10. This island (like all islands) has ants/bugs looking
for food; especially sweets. We spray monthly and |
| |
try to keep “Raid” (or "Combat Baits") under the
sink, but prevention works better. |
| |
11. Please
do not rearrange the beds/tables/sofas in the house.
Please leave the furniture as you found
it. |
| |
We can’t ask the maids to rearrange/reassemble
furniture. |

GARBAGE COLLECTION |
| |
Please put out bagged & tied garbage (in the cans on the
road) on TUESDAY |
| |
and FRIDAY NIGHTS.
The DOE Truck comes early the following morning. |
| |
AIR-CONDITIONING |
| |
Please make sure all windows and doors remain closed if you
use the Air- |
| |
Conditioning. The island is humid and the coils will
"ice-over" preventing the |
| |
system from cooling- an A/C repair visit is at least 2 hours
away & $250 min. |

| |
MAINTENANCE ITEMS |
| |
If you need anything; please call your manager FIRST. He/She
is on the island |
| |
Barbara Sample |
and is most likely the right person to make things happen.
If you are not |
| |
345-916-0000 |
able to reach him/her--or not happy with the
progress--please call and
e-mail me |
| |
to let me know what the issues are and what has been done or
not done to |
| |
Jim Leavitt |
remedy the situation. Sometimes, a guest will wait until
very late in their |
| |
804-270-9077 |
stay and then unload a "list" of items that made them
unhappy. We want to get |
| |
things sorted earlier than that! We can't fix what we don't
know. |
